We are seeking a skilled
Fitter
to join our Port Melbourne team. This role is ideal for a hands-on qualified with robust mechanical expertise and experience in heavy manufacturing environments.
What You'll Do:
Perform troubleshooting and breakdown maintenance across a wide range of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.
Carry out bearing fitting, V-belt maintenance, laser alignment, and general mechanical rebuilds.
Maintain and repair pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics, and press fittings.
Ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment within a large-scale manufacturing environment.
What You'll Bring:
Trade qualification: Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Proven experience in heavy manufacturing, FMCG, petrochemical, power & energy generation, or mining industries.
Exposure to plasterboard manufacturing will be highly regarded.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, with confidence in troubleshooting and repairs.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
