Visual Merchandiser - 12 Month Contract (Maternity Leave Cover)

As we expand our presence in, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced in-store Visual Merchandiser to join our team at our GUESS stores across the state of Victoria for a
12 month fixed term contract (Maternity Leave Cover).
Position Overview:
The Visual Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring all products are represented in the full price and outlet free standing stores and presented in accordance with the individual brands visual merchandising standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure all new deliveries are unpacked tagged and represented on the store floor.
Work directly and effectively with VM Manager and Area/Regional Manager to ensure visual merchandising standards, stock to floor and improvement opportunities are maximised
Visit the dedicated locations and execute a consistent visual brand presence by location and category.
Implement the seasonal visual merchandising directives (VMD's) by category.
Assist all categories / brands with merchandise and visual aspects for new store openings, special events and other store initiatives.
Identify areas of prospect and merchandising challenges in store and provide feedback to wholesale team including but not limited to, additional space, signage and stock issues.
Provide coaching, training and brand awareness to store staff in accordance with product and brand presentation standards to ensure merchandise directives are understood, implemented and maintained.
Research market competition and report to the VM Manager fortnightly.
Adapt merchandising direction based on individual stores needs and inventory levels.
Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures including but not limited to Dress Code Policy;

About you:
Minimum of 2 years VM experience in a similar position in a retail fashion environment
Minimum of 2 years proven retail, merchandising, store/stock management
Exceptional communication, listening and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a team environment
A strong work ethic and are solution focussed
The ability to be flexible and adaptable in line with the business needs
A belief in exceptional customer service, ensuring our customers are the central consideration of all decisions, processes and procedures
