Tescher Forge is looking for practical, capable people to join our growing architectural metal fabrication team. We have positions available for entry-level applicants, experienced fabricators and people suited to senior production or workshop management roles.

The Role
You will work across a wide range of custom architectural metalwork projects using mild steel, aluminium, stainless steel and brass.
Depending on your experience, your work may include:
MIG and TIG welding
Fabricating from drawings
Cutting, grinding, linishing and finishing
Assembly and general workshop fabrication
Reading architectural and fabrication drawings
Solving complex fabrication and installation details
Assisting with onsite installations
Managing projects through fabrication and completion
Onsite installation experience will be highly regarded.

Relevant backgrounds may include:
Architectural metalwork
General metal fabrication
Sheet metal
Structural steel
Stainless steel or aluminium fabrication
Furniture making
Construction or related trades
For skilled positions, at least two years of welding or fabrication experience is preferred. Experience reading architectural or fabrication drawings is a significant advantage.
Entry-level applicants with practical ability, a strong work ethic and a genuine interest in learning are also encouraged to apply.
Four-Day Work Week
Our standard working hours are:
Monday to Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm
You will work 38 hours across four days and have a three-day weekend every week.
No regular Friday work
No weekend work
Day shift only
Overtime generally available for those who want it

Requirements
Applicants must:
Hold a current Australian driver licence
Have Australian working rights
Hold, or be willing to obtain, a Construction Induction White Card
Be able to work from our Heidelberg West workshop
We can assist with organising a White Card if required.
