About the Role:
The Victorian Rural Generalist Program (VRGP) is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Regional Coordinator to support Rural Generalist trainees and strengthen medical training pathways across the Loddon Mallee region. In this influential role, you will work closely with health services, general practices, training organisations, colleges and government stakeholders to help build and sustain a skilled rural medical workforce.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide leadership and coordination of Rural Generalist training pathways across the region.
Support and guide trainees throughout their training and career journey.
Build robust relationships with health services, general practices, training hubs and medical education providers.
Coordinate trainee rotations, mentoring opportunities and wellbeing supports.
Deliver marketing,
engagement and education activities to promote Rural Generalist careers.
Monitor program outcomes, manage regional budgets and prepare reports for stakeholders.
Provide secretariat support to the Regional Network and contribute to state-wide VRGP initiatives.
Qualifications/experience required:
Excellent communication, relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong organisational and project coordination capabilities.
The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Experience in health administration, workforce development or project management (desirable).
Knowledge of rural health workforce issues and/or medical training pathways.
Strong analytical, reporting and Microsoft Office skills.
