Express Employment Professionals – Sydney Hills District NSW$80,000 - $85,000 a yearPermanent25d ago , from Express Employment ProfessionalsWe are seeking a motivated Warehouse Assistant Manager to join a growing manufacturing team in Norwest.Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will support the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and distribution function, ensuring inventory accuracy, effective dispatch and receiving processes, and seamless collaboration with production and logistics teams.This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll assist in supervising warehouse/production staff while driving continuous improvement and maintaining high operational standards.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in managing the daily operations of the warehouse and distribution team.Lead, mentor and support warehouse staff to achieve productivity and safety goals.Monitor inventory levels and investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.Ensure all stock movements are accurately recorded within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or ERP system.Coordinate inbound and outbound freight,



dispatch and receiving activities.Work closely with production teams to ensure materials are available and minimise downtime.Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and stock control.Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety policies and warehouse procedures.Liaise with procurement, logistics and customer service teams to ensure customer requirements are met.About YouPrevious experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.Experience in a warehouse leadership, supervisor or assistant manager role.Solid inventory management and stock control experience.Experience using a WMS and/or ERP system.Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.The ability to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.Must have own transport and be an Australian Citizen or Permanent ResidentCurrent Forklift Licence with high reach forklift experience.
