Builders Labourer and Apprentice opportunities
Greenwise Constructions is a family run Company who have been building in Launceston and surrounds for over 20 years.
We're looking for someone to join our small team who is ready to learn all aspects of residential building.
The prospect
We are excited to announce a Builders Labourer and Apprentice opportunity with Greenwise Constructions in Launceston, TAS.
These are full-time positions and also offering a casual labouring position.
This is a chance to join an experienced builder in a small team and develop your skills.
Whether you are an experienced labourer looking for your next opportunity or a school leaver interested in commencing a formal apprenticeship, we welcome applications from candidates at various stages of their career.
What you'll be doing
Assisting qualified tradespeople with site preparation, material handling and organisation
Supporting the setup and maintenance of safe working environments on construction sites
Performing general labouring duties including excavation, demolition and site clean-up
Assisting with the positioning and securing of building materials and components
Contributing to tooling, equipment and site safety procedures
Learning and applying construction techniques and best practices under supervision




Participating in on-site training and formal apprenticeship requirements (where applicable)
Supporting all team members to maintain high standards of workmanship and site safety
What we're looking for
Enthusiasm and willingness to learn with a proactive attitude towards your development
Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour tasks on construction sites IS A MUST.
Demonstrated commitment to health and safety practices and protocols
Reliability and strong attendance record
Ability to work as part of a team and follow instruction from supervisors
Basic communication and problem-solving skills
For apprentice applicants: completion of Year 10 or equivalent, or equivalent life experience
For experienced labourers: relevant construction site experience and demonstrated competency in labouring duties
Current driver's licence is advantageous
Willingness to obtain relevant certifications (such as White Card – Construction Induction or equivalent) as required
