As part of the wider Benkel Hire group, this role offers variety across both premium events and general hire operations, within a stable and growing business.
About the Role
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role responsible for the delivery, installation and collection of our premium restroom units across a variety of events.
You'll operate a crane truck (with truck-mounted crane) as well as a RAM and trailer setup to safely transport and position equipment, while also acting as a key point of contact for clients on-site, ensuring a smooth, professional and high-quality experience.
While the role has a strong focus on our premium Black Tie events, you will also support the broader Benkel Hire operations, delivering and servicing equipment across a range of locations.
This role suits someone who takes pride in their presentation, communicates well with clients, and enjoys working in a agile environment where no two days are the same.
There is also a clear opportunity for the right person to grow into a leadership role within Black Tie operations as the division expands.
Key Responsibilities
Operate crane truck and RAM + trailer to deliver,



position and collect restroom units across both Black Tie events and Benkel Hire sites
Safely load, unload and secure equipment for transport
Coordinate delivery, installation and pack-down requirements
Provide a professional, customer-focused experience on-site
Communicate clearly with clients, event staff and internal teams
Ensure equipment is presented to a high standard
Complete required documentation and delivery records
Support yard duties including cleaning, basic maintenance and minor repairs
Assist the wider operations team as required
Adhere to all safety and compliance requirements
Skills & Experience
Valid HR licence (essential)
Experience driving trucks and towing trailers (RAM + trailer experience highly regarded)
Experience operating a truck-mounted crane or similar equipment (preferred)
Strong focus on customer service and communication
Professional presentation and attitude
Reliable, punctual and safety-focused
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Willingness to assist with yard duties when required
Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
Willingness to participate in pre-employment medical assessment
