THE ROLE
The Team Lead, Corporate Communication manages employee communication at the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing. This role is a senior position in the Corporate Communication team.
The Team Lead, Corporate Communication delivers the corporate communication content strategy and manages the evaluation and reporting of our communication activity.
They are also responsible for the development and delivery of executive communication including from the department Secretary.
This role manages communication channels and processes to communicate department initiatives and projects. This includes:
editorial responsibility for department newsletters, forums,
Intranet and department-wide communication
the continual development of the department's internal communication channels
ensuring the integrity and privacy requirements of our internal communication tools and systems.
The Team Lead, Corporate Communication, runs the department's Internal Communication Network; a network that supports the effective delivery of corporate information across the department's divisions.
To undertake this work, the Team Lead manages and works with a Communication Adviser.
The Team Lead, plays a senior role in building relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leadership across the central Public Engagement branch. They also use communications expertise and insight to identify emergent risks and issues.
As required, the Team Lead, Corporate Communication will work with the leadership team to ensure effective communications services, support and resourcing during emergency, crisis and peak periods.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
Implement the Corporate Communication content plan.
Develop, deliver and evaluate internal communication strategies, activities and collateral for the Department Secretary, executive leadership team and the Corporate and Delivery Services division.
Deliver effective communications of a high written and visual standard that comply with department and whole-of-government guidelines.
