We are seeking an experienced Senior Storage Engineer to support a large, complex ICT setting. This role will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, administration, optimisation and troubleshooting of enterprise storage platforms across physical and virtual settings.

/n

The successful candidate will also manage Storage Area Network infrastructure, contribute to the future direction of storage and data platforms, and produce high-quality technical documentation. You will work closely with experienced technical teams, share knowledge, mentor junior staff and support the transition of solutions into operations.

Key Responsibilities

/n

Deploy, configure, administer and tune enterprise storage systems.

/n
Manage storage infrastructure across physical and virtual environments.

/n
Deploy, configure and manage Storage Area Network switches.

/n
Troubleshoot complex storage, performance and connectivity issues.

/n
Assess emerging technologies and contribute to storage and data platform roadmaps.

/n




Produce detailed design, build, operations and handover documentation.

/n
Develop and maintain technical processes and procedures.

/n
Present technical information to staff and stakeholders.

/n
Coach, mentor and transfer knowledge to other team members.

/n/n

Demonstrated experience in the design, administration, tuning and troubleshooting of one or more of the following technologies:

Dell Data Domain

/n
Brocade Fabric Switches

/n
SANnav

/n
Scality ARTESCA

/n/n

You will also require:

/n

/n
Experience producing design, build and operational documentation.

/n
Robust written and verbal communication skills.

/n
The ability to collaborate effectively with highly skilled technical teams.

/n
Experience presenting technical information to staff and stakeholders.

/n
Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor technical team members.

/n
Experience or knowledge of Veeam Backup & Replication.
