We are looking for an experienced Quarry Manager to lead the team at our Axedale Sand & Gravel Quarry in Country Victoria, 25 minutes East of Bendigo. Reporting to the Area Manager, this role is a multi‐faceted position overseeing daily operations, including production, continuous improvement, health & safety, logistics and full P&L; responsibility.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team, driving performance and achievement of goals.

Make strategic business decisions that impact performance: set KPIs, financial planning, budgeting, and cost management.

/n
Oversee day‐to‐day quarry operations, including development, storm water and environmental management, and preventive maintenance schedules.

/n
Champion rehabilitation and sustainability initiatives to maintain industry reputation.

/n
Manage high‐risk activities, implementing a robust safety mindset and reducing risk exposure.

/n
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to influence decisions and negotiate outcomes.

/n
Maintain a zero‐harm culture, ensuring compliance with risk management protocols.

Qualifications & Skills

Experience as a quarry manager or supervisor with relevant industry qualifications.

/n




Strong leadership experience and a track record of transformational change in complex environments.

/n
Capability to support continuous improvement across the supply chain.

/n
Excellent negotiation and influencing skills with stakeholders at all levels.

/n
Proven safety mindset with total commitment to risk management and Zero Harm.

/n
Team player with ability to multi‐task and make timely decisions under pressure.
