The Guides Magazines have been connecting local communities across North Brisbane and Moreton Bay for more than 14 years. Through our five North Brisbane (Sandgate Guide, Redcliffe Guide, Chermside Guide, North Lakes Guide, Caboolture Guide), community magazines, websites, e-newsletters and social media, we help local businesses reach local customers while sharing the stories, events and people that make each community unique.
We're looking for an experienced
Advertising Sales Representative
to join our friendly team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building genuine relationships with business owners, is confident starting conversations, and takes pride in helping clients find advertising solutions that work for their business.
About the role
This is a hybrid position based from our Chermside office, with work from home flexibility. We're open to either full time or part time hours because we're focused on finding the right fit.
You'll spend your time:
Building relationships with new and existing advertisers
Visiting local businesses across our distribution areas
Prospecting for recent business opportunities across North Brisbane
Working with clients to create effective advertising campaigns across print and digital
Attending networking functions and community events
Managing your client portfolio and following up enquiries




Working closely with our production and editorial teams to ensure campaigns run smoothly
About you
You'll already have experience in sales and enjoy working with people.
You're someone who:
Builds rapport easily and enjoys meeting new people
Is organised and follows through on commitments
Is confident picking up the phone and introducing yourself
Enjoys being out in the community as well as working in the office
Understands that great customer service builds long term relationships
Wants to help local businesses succeed through effective marketing
Is a supportive team player who is open to learning
Previous advertising or media sales experience would be highly regarded but isn't essential if you have a proven sales background.
