This is a full time, ongoing position within RMIT University. As a Senior Data Scientist in the Data & Analytics team, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated data science solutions that tackle significant challenges within the university. Your work will encompass the entire process, from defining unclear problem statements to designing analytical strategies and constructing advanced models.

What you'll do
Lead the development and implementation of data science solutions to solve complex issues.
Collaborate with various stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable data-driven strategies.
Requirements
A master's degree or higher in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
At least 5 years of experience in data science or a similar role.




Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with data manipulation and analysis tools.
Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
Nice to have
Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop or Spark.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.

Salary range for this position is between $121,213 and $136,507, along with a 17% superannuation contribution.
