About the role Ahkgroup is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our dynamic team in Liverpool, Merseyside. This full-time position is ideal for individuals who possess a strong analytical mindset and a passion for driving business improvements through data-driven insights. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions, ensuring that our projects align with strategic objectives and deliver measurable outcomes.

What you'll do
Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to gather and document business requirements, ensuring a thorough understanding of project goals and objectives.
Analyze existing business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and recommend actionable solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Develop detailed business cases, including cost-benefit analyses, to support project proposals and secure stakeholder buy-in.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including process maps, user stories, and functional specifications, to facilitate clear communication among team members and stakeholders.
Utilize data analysis tools to extract insights from large datasets, translating complex data into understandable reports that guide decision-making.
Lead workshops and meetings with cross-functional teams to elicit requirements, validate solutions, and ensure alignment on project deliverables.
Monitor project progress and performance metrics,



providing regular updates to management and stakeholders on key milestones and potential risks.
Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units, ensuring that solutions meet business needs while adhering to technical constraints.
Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate that solutions meet specified requirements and provide training to end-users as necessary.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in business analysis and project management, continuously seeking opportunities for professional development.
Mentor junior analysts, providing guidance and support to help them grow their skills and contribute effectively to the team.
Contribute to the development of best practices and methodologies for business analysis within the organization, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis or a related role, preferably within a technology-driven environment.
Strong understanding of business process modeling and improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, with experience in SQL, Excel, or similar platforms.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written,



with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
Proven experience in project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment is highly desirable.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Nice to have
Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is advantageous.
Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI for data visualization.
Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and experience working closely with development teams.
