About the role
The Grade 3 Dietitian plays a key leadership role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based clinical nutrition services that improve patient outcomes across acute, subacute and community settings.
Working within a designated specialty area, you will provide expert clinical care for patients with complex nutritional needs while leading the ongoing development of nutrition services.
You will mentor and support dietitians and students, contribute to research, quality improvement and program evaluation, and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, person-centred care.
Key Accountabilities
Provide expert clinical dietetic assessment and nutrition management for patients with eating disorders.
Work as part of a specialised multidisciplinary team (MDT) supporting care within a dedicated 8-bed inpatient Eating Disorders Unit and associated outpatient programme.
Collaborate closely with the acute nutrition team and community mental health dietitians to ensure coordinated, continuum-of-care for patients.
Contribute to service development, clinical leadership and education, and quality improvement initiatives.
About You
Clinical expertise in nutrition management for patients with eating disorders.
Minimum 7 years post-graduate experience, with at least 3 years working in eating disorders and/or mental health.
Demonstrated leadership capability, including the ability to inspire and support colleagues and contribute to service development
Strong organisational skills with excellent verbal and written communication.
Proven ability in conflict resolution, collaboration, and negotiation within multidisciplinary teams.
Passion for student and staff supervision, mentoring, and clinical leadership.
