Skilled Nursing is currently seeking experienced and compassionate Mental Health Nurses to join our client's team within a youth custodial healthcare setting in Victoria.

About the Role:
The Mental Health Nurse will work as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, supporting General Practitioners and other clinicians in the management of young people experiencing complex mental health conditions. The facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You must be willing to work a rotating roster across day, afternoon, and night shifts.
Key Responsibilities for this role:
Conduct comprehensive mental health and risk assessments in line with AHPRA standards and professional practice guidelines
Deliver treatment, interventions, and ongoing reviews in accordance with care plans and GP mental health plans
Support the admission and transition of new patients into the service
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide high‐quality mental health support
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold best practice standards within a custodial healthcare environment
Qualifications:
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Demonstrated mental health nursing experience
Strong assessment, communication, and crisis management skills
Ability to work effectively within a challenging but rewarding environment
Flexibility to work rotating shifts
