Ravenhall Correctional Centre is seeking an Employment Coordinator to lead and coordinate prisoner employment across the Centre, aligning education, vocational training and work opportunities to support rehabilitation and reduce reoffending

Your Key Impact Areas
As the
Employment
Coordinator
, you will be responsible for:
Facilitate education-to-employment pathways within the prison and encourage alternatives to long-term unemployment.
Engage with internal stakeholders to create meaningful employment opportunities that support rehabilitation and reintegration outcomes.
Liaise with education, vocational training and work areas to align learning and employment opportunities.
Coordinate and oversee prisoner employment processes, including recruitment, commencement and dismissal procedures.
Maintain a current register of prisoner employment positions and monitor workforce utilisation.
Support representation of key cohorts, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander prisoners and young adult offenders, in employment opportunities.
Monitor and report on prisoner pay, employment activity and budget compliance.
Work collaboratively with GEO and Alliance Partner staff to optimise prisoner engagement in meaningful employment.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and governance requirements.

with the ability to build effective relationships with prisoners, peers and key stakeholders. You will be committed to supporting prisoner employment and vocational training needs and contributing to high-quality programs and services that help reduce reoffending.
You will have:
Demonstrated knowledge of education, training and employment pathways.
Proven ability to plan, establish priorities, set work objectives and problem solve.
Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport and maintain effective relationships.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to negotiate and engage with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Ability to analyse employment-related data and reports.
Ability to write comprehensive reports and correspondence.
High level of professionalism, compliance and attention to detail.
Proven computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Please Note: This role is situated within a correctional setting and will involve contact with prisoners. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is mandatory.

Employment at Ravenhall Correctional Centre is subject to the successful completion of clearances and pre-employment checks prior to commencement. The application process has several stages, and should your application advance, you will be expected to engage in the following steps:
In-Person (preferred) or Virtual Interview Attendance
Reference checks will be conducted following the interview
Fit2Work and National Police Certificate Authority Clearance which will be covered by our organisation
Pre-Employment Medical and Fitness Assessment, which will be covered by our organisation
Important: Please note that Pre-Employment clearance can take approximately 6-8 weeks
