The Role
The Project Engineer supports the Project Management team in the planning, coordination, and delivery of fire projects from tender through to completion. The role provides technical, commercial, and operational support to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards. There is also an opportunity to independently manage smaller projects and work packages.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Fire Projects Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Support estimating, tendering, contract administration, and project planning.
Coordinate design, procurement, subcontractors, suppliers, and statutory approvals.
Monitor project progress, costs, quality, and programme.
Prepare purchase orders,
progress claims, variations, and project reporting.
Ensure compliance with WHS requirements, the NCC, Australian Standards, and company procedures.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to improve project delivery, efficiency, and customer outcomes.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
Experience in project engineering, Estimating or project coordination within the building services, fire protection, or construction industry.
Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Commercial awareness with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge of WHS, NCC, Australian Standards, and Essential Safety Measures is desirable.
Current driver's licence
