We're partnering with a well-established specialist private day hospital in Canberra that is continuing to grow and is looking for an experienced Perioperative Nurse to join the team on a ******* FTE permanent basis (approximately 32 hours per week).
This is an excellent opportunity for a Scrub Scout who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is interested in developing skills within ophthalmology. Previous ophthalmic theatre experience is highly regarded but

Monday-Friday roster – no weekends or on-call
Shifts between 7:00am – 6:00pm
Regular Fridays off with a compressed working week
Structured Ophthalmology training program

About the role
Working alongside highly regarded surgeons and an experienced perioperative team, you'll primarily work within the scrub/scout role while also having the opportunity to contribute across the patient journey in this specialist day hospital.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in delivering exceptional patient care and thrives in a collaborative team environment.
About you
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Previous Scrub Scout experience in a hospital or day surgery
Ophthalmology theatre experience is highly desirable but not required
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
