This role is for an experienced Motor Assessor or someone with trade qualifications in panel beating or spray painting who has progressed off the tools into a workshop manager, estimating or coordination role within the smash repair industry and is now ready to expand their career.
With deep repair knowledge and industry experience, you'll take the next step into a role where you sign off on repairs, helping customers get back on the road when life hasn't gone to plan.
You'll inspect vehicles, scope the damage, review quotes and make the call on what's fair and reasonable. Some days you'll be out on the road assessing vehicles. Other times you'll be back home reviewing estimates, writing reports and progressing claims.But compared to life in the workshop, it's a different pace and easier on the body long term.
What you'll be doing
Full-time hybrid role with office located in Silverwater
Inspect damaged vehicles and validate claims
Scope repairs and review repairer estimates
Identify discrepancies or potential fraud indicators
Apply policy and assess liability considerations
Manage customer expectations professionally
Manage your diary and turnaround times
Work closely with service providers to ensure quality repairs
Maintain thorough documentation and compliance standards
What you'll have
Experience in the smash repair industry beyond the tools - e.g. estimating, workshop management, coordination or assessing
Strong knowledge of repair methods, quoting and industry standards
Confidence in making decisions and signing off repairs
Bonus points if you've worked with watercraft or specialty vehicles
