About the role
Join the City of Sydney's dynamic Marketing and Communications unit in a hands‐on, high‐impact role.
Your work will cover a broad spectrum of topics—from core council services and community programs to our ambitious long‐term strategic vision.
We are seeking a solutions‐driven, creative, and audience‐focused marketer who thrives in a fast‐paced environment and communicates effortlessly with diverse stakeholders.
You'll bring genuine enthusiasm for civic engagement, a track record of delivering impactful campaigns, and the ability to manage competing priorities with ease.
In this role, you'll be responsible for campaign execution and management, content and channel management, campaign coordination, content creation, digital optimisation and asset management, and cross‐functional collaboration.
Requirements and responsibilities
proven marketing experience:
a track record in developing and managing multi‐channel marketing campaigns from brief to measurement
content & design skills: strong copywriting, editing, and content creation skills, paired with experience producing visual communications
technical proficiency: hands‐on experience with Content Management Systems (CMS), email marketing software, workflow systems and Digital Asset Management (DAM) platforms
exceptional stakeholder & project management: excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19‐day month.
