Due to continued growth and upcoming project work, our client is seeking a mechanically minded Trades Assistant to join their onsite team. This is an excellent chance for someone with a robust mechanical aptitude who is looking to further develop their career within the mining industry.

Project Working Days & Hours

Roster: Ad Hoc FIFO
Shifts: Day Shift and Night Shift

Hours: 11.5 hours paid per day (30 minute unpaid lunch break)

The Role The onsite work will be primarily across BHP operations.



Our client currently operates a variety of dewatering plant and equipment including:

Bore Pumps: Fixed & Mobile

Centrifugal Pump Skids: Diesel Powered

Gensets
Bore Field Control Trailers

Pipeline Components

The main focus of the role is to support the onsite team in ensuring dewatering plant and equipment is installed, maintained and operating at optimal performance.

Duties will include:

Assisting Mechanical Fitters with the installation, maintenance and repair of dewatering equipment
Using hand and power tools safely and efficiently
Assisting with equipment assembly, maintenance and general mechanical duties
Preparing work areas, equipment and materials
Conducting pre-start checks and housekeeping duties
Following all BHP safety processes, company procedures and site requirements
