The Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the company's day-to-day internal accounting activities and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. This position requires a solid understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting management with financial reporting and analysis.

Key responsibilities include:
Managing daily accounting operations and maintaining accurate financial records.
Processing and recording financial transactions, journals, and adjustments.
Maintaining the general ledger and performing regular account reconciliations.
Preparing monthly financial reports, management accounts, and financial summaries.
Monitoring cash flow, budgets, and business performance indicators.
Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Performing bank reconciliations and resolving financial discrepancies.
Assisting with payroll processing,



employee records, and superannuation administration.
Preparing financial information and supporting documentation for the external accountant.
Assisting with BAS, tax preparation, and year-end accounting requirements in conjunction with the external accountant.
Reviewing accounting processes and implementing improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Supporting management with financial analysis and business decision-making.

The successful candidate will have a relevant qualification in Accounting and Masters in associated field must be preferable and a minimum of one year of relevant accounting experience. Solid attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and experience with accounting software such as Xero or similar systems are essential.
