As Senior Environmental Officer (Assessments), you will drive best-practice environmental impact assessment (EIA) for major projects across Tasmania.
Lead and deliver EIA processes for major developments.
Provide authoritative, risk-based advice on environmental impacts and mitigation.
Prepare high-quality Environmental Assessment Reports and statutory instruments.
Contribute to strategic improvements in assessment frameworks and processes.
Represent the EPA in cross-agency forums, committees, and industry engagement.
We have multiple permanent opportunities available based in Hobart, Launceston, or Devonport. Working ***** hours (or minimum ***** hours by negotiation) per fortnight.
Strong expertise in environmental impact assessment.
Sound judgement and experience in risk-based environmental decision-making.
A track record of producing robust, defensible assessment outcomes.
