Wabtec's Digital Intelligence Signaling & Systems team performs complex integrated system projects in signaling, train control, communications, and back‐office solutions with a solid focus on project execution, schedule adherence, and customer satisfaction.

Location

This is a FIFO role in the Pilbara region.

/n

Typical Day

/n

/n
Install, test, and commission signalling equipment, including track circuits, point machines, signals, and train control systems.

/n
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure the integrity and reliability of signalling infrastructure.

/n
Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in signalling systems, using technical expertise and diagnostic tools.

/n
Collaborate with engineering teams to implement signalling upgrades and modifications, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

/n
Provide technical support during commissioning activities and ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures.

/n
Document maintenance activities, test results, and equipment performance to maintain accurate records and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Assist in the development of training materials and provide mentoring and guidance to client‐side maintenance teams, junior staff, and apprentices.

Qualifications

/n

/n
Mandatory: Certificate IV in Rail Signalling (Electrical).

/n
Mandatory: A Grade Electrical License – WA.

/n
Mandatory: Statement of Competency.

/n
Mandatory: Rail Industry Worker Card.

/n
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to different work sites, including Remote WA as required.

/n
Proven experience working in the rail industry, preferably in signalling maintenance, installation and commissioning.

/n
Strong knowledge of signalling principles, standards and regulations, and relevant rail safety standards.

/n
Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

/n/n
