Position: Electrical Engineering Technician

Position Type: Full time

Salary: $90,000 to $100,000 plus superannuation per annum

Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Technician to join their professional team in Maroubra, Current South Wales.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and update electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and technical documentation for electrical and fire detection system installations.
Assist Electrical Engineers with the design, installation and commissioning of electrical, fire alarm and associated control systems.
Conduct testing, fault finding, calibration and performance checks on electrical equipment and fire detection systems.
Collect technical data, perform calculations and prepare reports to support project delivery and system performance.
Estimate material quantities and assist with procurement for installation and maintenance projects.
Inspect electrical installations to ensure compliance with Australian Standards, project specifications and safety regulations.
Assemble, install, modify and repair electrical equipment, switchboards,



control panels, protection relays and metering devices.
Support research, testing and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the reliability, efficiency and compliance of electrical and fire safety systems.

Requirements:
Relevant AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma qualification in Electrical Engineering, or at least three (3) years of relevant experience in lieu of formal qualifications.
A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience as an Electrical Engineering Technician or in a similar role
Sound knowledge of electrical installations, testing procedures and Australian electrical standards.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical specifications.
Experience using electrical testing equipment and preparing technical documentation.
Solid analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and within a team.
