Guzman Y Gomez Bakewell is looking for qualified Cook.

Salary: $65000 - $80000 p.a. + Superannuation

Full Time Permanent

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items to meet restaurant standards, including breakfast, lunch, and specialty dishes.
Ensure the quality and presentation of meals align with the restaurant’s reputation.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan and execute menus, including starters, mains, and special dietary requests.
Monitor and manage stock levels, including ingredients and kitchen supplies.
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards in the kitchen as per regulations.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as required.
Adapt to a fast-paced environment and ensure timely service during peak hours.

Required Skills:




Proven experience as a Cook in a high-volume restaurant setting.
Proficiency in preparing a variety of dishes, including vegetarian, gluten-free, and lactose-free options.
Knowledge of up-to-date culinary techniques and food safety standards.
Ability to work flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Certificate III and Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification (preferred).
Locals are highly preferred for this role.
