Assistant Food & Beverage Manager | Full Time | InterContinental Sydney Double B
Under the guidance of the Director of Food & Beverage and in alignment with IHG brand standards and hotel policies, the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for supporting the day-to‐day operation of all food and beverage outlets. The role focuses on delivering exceptional guest experiences while leading and developing high-performing teams to achieve operational excellence and commercial success.

and the hotel's premium beverage and dining experiences, while also supporting the delivery of special events.
The position requires a hands‐on leader who can drive service excellence, coach and motivate teams, maintain financial performance, and ensure seamless execution of both restaurant and event operations. Success in the role is achieved through a strong focus on guest satisfaction, team engagement, operational efficiency, and upholding the luxury standards synonymous with the InterContinental brand.
Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:
Manage the day-to-day operations of all food and beverage outlets, ensuring exceptional service standards and smooth shift execution.
Plan, delegate, and monitor daily tasks to ensure efficient outlet operations and guest satisfaction.
Prepare and manage rosters to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained in line with business demands.
Lead, coach, and develop team members through regular feedback, performance reviews,



and tailored development plans.
Train and support colleagues to ensure compliance with company policies, service standards, and operational procedures.
Ensure all food and beverage equipment is maintained in excellent working condition and cleaned to the highest standards.
Maintain outlet presentation by ensuring all venues are clean, organised, and adequately stocked to meet anticipated business volumes.
Monitor budgets and control expenses, with a strong focus on food cost, beverage cost, and labour management.
Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to identify opportunities to drive revenue and enhance guest experiences.
Execute promotional activities and initiatives that increase outlet awareness, guest engagement, and profitability.
Ensure all financial, cash handling, and credit transactions are processed accurately and securely.
Conduct regular stocktakes and inventory audits to ensure accuracy, minimise variances, and maintain effective stock control.
Support the successful delivery of conferences, events, banquets, and special functions, ensuring a seamless guest experience.
What We need from you:
Availability across a 7 day roster in particular PM shifts
1 years' experience in a full‐time F&B; leadership role, preferably in a hotel environment.




Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, enthusiasm for learning new things, and, above all, a can‐do attitude.
Proficiency in delivering a seamless experience to customers
Willingness to support and mentor junior staff as necessary.
