Dental Assistant/ Patient Coordinator- Orthodontics
Are you an experienced Dental Assistant ready for more variety, autonomy and patient connection?
Urban Smile is looking for a confident Dental Assistant / Patient Coordinator to join our Brunswick and Hawthorn clinics in a senior, hands-on orthodontic role.
This is not a standard chairside-only position. You will be involved across the full patient journey, from consulting and treatment coordinating with the patient and our Oral Health Therapists through to chairside support, Dental Monitoring workflows, clinical ordering and helping keep the clinic running smoothly.

About the role
This is a 4-day-per-week role working across our Brunswick and Hawthorn locations.
You will be responsible for:
Dental assisting for orthodontic and aligner appointments
Providing consultations and treatment coordination
Helping patients understand their treatment options and next steps
Asisiting Dental Monitoring workflows and patient communication
Clinical ordering, stock management and clinic readiness
Taking digital records and supporting treatment documentation
Supporting appointment flow and delivering a great patient experience
General administartive duties and appointment scheduling
Taking initiative and helping the clinic stay organised and on track
About you
You will be a great fit if you:
Have experience as a Dental Assistant, ideally in orthodontics
Enjoy both clinical and patient-facing work
Are confident communicating on on one with patients
Are organised, proactive and comfortable working with autonomy
Have strong attention to detail and high clinical standards
Are confident using technology and open to learning new systems
Can work across both Brunswick and Hawthorn locations
