About the Opportunity

/n

An established and growing WA business is seeking a hands‐on Accountant to join its finance team. This is a broad role offering ownership of the day‐to‐day finance function while partnering closely with leadership to support business performance, compliance, and financial reporting.

/n

This opportunity would suit an experienced Accountant or Senior Accounts Officer looking for a wide-ranging role with exposure across financial accounting, payroll, reporting, budgeting and process improvement.

/n

Key Responsibilities

/n

/n
Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and bank reconciliations.

/n
Process fortnightly payroll for approximately 35 employees and oversee payroll compliance.

/n
Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, Payroll Tax, Superannuation and assist with FBT requirements.

/n
Perform month‐end and year‐end close, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.

/n
Prepare monthly management reports, budgets, forecasts and cash flow reporting.

/n
Maintain the general ledger, fixed asset register and financial records.

/n
Liaise with external accountants, auditors,



banks, insurers and government agencies.

/n
Support HR administration, employee onboarding and payroll‐related documentation.

/n
Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, controls and reporting.

/n
Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support to management.

About You

/n

/n
Previous experience in an Accountant or Senior Accounts Officer role.

/n
Solid knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll and month‐end processes.

/n
Experience with BAS, Payroll Tax, Superannuation and statutory compliance.

/n
Ability to prepare management reports, reconciliations and assist with budgeting and forecasting.

/n
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and experience using accounting systems (MYOB experience advantageous).

/n
High attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach.

/n
Accounting qualification with CPA/CA completed or in progress will be highly regarded.
