Canberra Locksmiths is seeking a skilled and reliable QualifiedLocksmithto join our team in Canberra, ACT.
This is afull-time positionbased in our Canberra office, where you will provide expert locksmithing services to residential, commercial, and industrial clients throughout the region.
As a locksmith, you will be at the forefront of our service delivery, ensuring that clients receive prompt, professional, and high-quality solutions to their security and access needs.
This role is essential to maintaining our reputation as a trusted provider of locksmithing services in the Canberra community.
What you'll be doing
Installing, repairing, and maintaining locks on residential, commercial, and industrial properties
Responding to emergency lockout calls and providing rapid response services to clients in distress
Assessing security requirements and recommending appropriate locking mechanisms and security solutions
Performing lock rekeying and master key system installations
Installing and servicing electronic and digital locking systems
Conducting site surveys and providing detailed quotations for locksmithing work
Maintaining accurate records of work completed and materials used
Ensuring all work complies with relevant safety standards and regulations
Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients through professional and courteous service
Keeping vehicles and equipment well-maintained and organised
What we're looking for
A recognised locksmithing qualification or apprenticeship completion in locksmithing or a related trade
Current driver's licence with a clean driving record
Proven experience in locksmithing, with demonstrated competency in lock installation, repair, and maintenance




Strong knowledge of various lock types, including pin tumbler, mortise, electronic, and digital systems
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex locking mechanisms
Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple client appointments
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach to service delivery
Familiarity with security principles and best practices in the locksmithing industry
Willingness to undertake ongoing professional development and training in emerging electronic locksmithing technologies
