About The Role
This is a full-time hands-on leadership role, sitting between the field team and the management team. As a Service Delivery Team Leader you will lead and support a team of commercial electricians and apprentices, overseeing day-to-day delivery of works while maintaining your own technical involvement.
You will play a key part in ensuring work is delivered safely, to a high standard, and on time while also contributing to team development, client relationships, and operational planning. This role suits an experienced A-Grade electrician who is ready to take the next step into a leadership position, or someone already operating at this level looking for a business where they can make a genuine contribution. In this role you will work part of the team with LGE's other Service Delivery Team Leaders also.
Key Responsibilities
Overseeing operational and technical capability of Technicians, so that the highest quality and appropriate technical skills are delivered on a job to job and project basis.
Team building and mentorship as well as an emphasis on strong service delivery to clients.
The development and training of technical skills either directly, or through the technical leaders in the team.
Assist with the LGE scheduling system to ensure quality and efficient operations.
Maintain first aid certification to administer and/or support other employees with first aid support.
Manage and/or oversee the works being conducted to be completed as per scope, within timelines and compliance.
Prepare quotations and estimates for maintenance, installation or repair works including customer correspondence.
Monitor and evaluate employee performance, discussing with employees and providing updates to management.
Complete all reporting requirements, both internal and customer-based reports, in a timely manner.
Establish good communication with customers to understand their needs & provide a high level of quality & service.
The commercial awareness to monitor the delivery of project outcomes while maintaining safety, regulatory and budget requirements.
The ability of focusing on many tasks at once but still maintaining a close attention to the details of each
LGE have a team-oriented structure of supervisors where you will also assist and work in with for planning, job scheduling, decision making and problem solving as required.
About You
You are an experienced A-Grade electrician with a natural ability to lead people and get the best out of a team. You are someone who leads by example technically capable, organised, and focused on delivering quality outcomes. You communicate well with both clients and colleagues, and you understand that good leadership is as much about supporting your team as it is about managing the work.
You are proactive, calm under pressure,
and able to manage multiple priorities without losing sight of the detail. Most importantly, you are someone who takes pride in their work and brings the right attitude to site every day.
To Be Successful in This Role You Will Have
A current Victorian Electrical Licence (A-Grade)
A current Victorian Driver's Licence (manual preferred)
Commercial site maintenance and installation experience
Industrial experience (preferred but not essential)
Strong working knowledge of AS/NZS ****:****
Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team
Experience in or exposure to quoting and estimating (preferred)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills across clients, staff, and management
Commercial awareness and the ability to manage project delivery against safety, compliance, and budget requirements
The ability to follow company & client OH&S; procedures.
The willingness to work overtime and supporting an on-call roster.
Work without supervision to resolve faults proactively and flexibly.
Attention to detail and good communication skills to interact with customers, staff and LGE management.
