About the Role:
Join our team at CRU® Galston Gorge as a
Kitchen Supervisor (Kitchen Shift Leader)
! You'll lead and supervise kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality meals for campers and guests. This hands‐on role includes food preparation, managing dietary needs, stock control, and maintaining safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise kitchen staff during busy service periods
Set the standard for teamwork, organisation, and food quality
Coordinate food preparation for large groups, including dietary requirements
Manage stock control, kitchen cleanliness, and food safety compliance
Support and train team members to perform confidently and efficiently
About You:
We're looking for someone who:
Demonstrates
strong team leadership skills
and leads by example
Is highly organised and can manage time effectively in a
fast-paced workplace
Has a genuine passion for cooking and commercial kitchen work
Is confident handling
high volume food preparation and service
Communicates clearly and works well as part of a team
Is flexible and available to work weekends
Has a trainable, positive, and solution focused mindset
Trade qualifications and previous experience in camping, conferencing, or largescale catering environments are highly regarded but not essential.

CRU is a Christian youth organisation passionate about helping students know and follow Jesus through camps and school ministry. Our hosts school and holiday camps in a beautiful bushland setting.
