Role DescriptionThis is a full-time or part-time Paediatric Occupational Therapist role based in Pimpama, QLD, with a hybrid work model that allows some work from home.
The therapist will assess children's developmental, sensory, and functional needs; create individualised therapy plans; and deliver sessions in the community, school, home, and via Telehealth.
Day-to-day responsibilities include completing standardised assessments, documenting progress, preparing reports, and maintaining clear communication with families, caregivers, and other professionals.
The role also involves coaching parents and educators in practical strategies,



contributing to multidisciplinary case discussions, and participating in service development and quality improvement activities.
The successful candidate will support a caseload of children with diverse presentations while promoting a safe, inclusive, and child‐centered therapy workplace.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in Occupational Therapy and Paediatrics, with experience supporting children and young people.
Strong skills in Sensory Integration and the ability to apply sensory-based approaches to assessment and intervention.
Experience in Early Intervention, including designing and delivering developmentally appropriate programs for young children.
Proven capability and genuine interest in Working With Children, families, and schools in a collaborative, culturally safe manner.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration (or eligibility for registration) with the relevant professional body.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and caregiver education.
Ability to manage a varied caseload, prioritise tasks, and work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
Current Working With Children Check, police clearance, and a valid driver's license (or ability to travel between sites) are highly regarded.
