Rocky Point Sugar Mill is seeking a skilled and experiencedElectricianto join our team on afull-time basis.
Based inWoongoolba, Queensland, this role is integral to ensuring the protected and efficient operation of our industrial electrical systems and equipment.
As an Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing electrical systems across our sugar mill operations, contributing directly to the productivity and safety of our facility.
What we're looking for
Current electrical licence or certification recognised in Queensland (such as an Electrician's Licence)
Ability to work on 8 hour shifts (day, afternoon and night shifts)
Proven experience working as an electrician, preferably in industrial or manufacturing environments including LV motors and PLC systems
Holding or ability to hold a HV switching certification (company provided)
Some industrial electrical experience is required
Experience with instrumentation is highly valued




Key responsibilities
Install, maintain and repair electrical equipment, wiring systems, and control circuits throughout the sugar mill facility
Conduct routine preventative maintenance on electrical systems to minimise downtime and ensure operational efficiency
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults using testing equipment and technical knowledge
Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns and emergency repairs to maintain production schedules
Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant safety standards, regulations and industry best practices
Collaborate with other maintenance team members and operational staff to support mill operations
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs and equipment performance
