RGB Industries Qld is committed to partnering with clients to optimize their electrical and maintenance performance.Role Description The Maintenance Electrician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mackay, QLD.
The Maintenance Electrician will carry out routine and corrective electrical maintenance on plant and equipment, ensuring safe, reliable, and productive operation.
Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing electrical faults, performing repairs, and implementing preventive maintenance programs in line with company standards and regulatory requirements.
The role involves working closely with operations and shutdown teams to minimize downtime, support production targets,



and maintain compliance with safety procedures.
The Maintenance Electrician will also document maintenance activities, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with other trades and technical staff as needed.QualificationsDemonstrated skills in Electrical Maintenance and general Electricity knowledge applicable to industrial equipment.Strong Troubleshooting abilities for identifying, diagnosing, and resolving electrical issues.Experience in Maintenance & Repair of plant and equipment in an industrial or mining environment.Competence in Preventive Maintenance, including planning and executing scheduled inspections and servicing.Relevant electrical trade qualification and current electrical licence (or eligibility to obtain), with sound knowledge of Australian standards and safety regulations.Commitment to safe work practices, including hazard identification, lockout/tagout procedures, and adherence to site policies.Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.Previous experience in shutdown work or heavy industry is highly regarded.Current driver's licence and ability to meet site access and medical requirements, if applicable.
