Work Health & Safety (WHS) Officer – Construction Project | Parramatta

We seeking a motivatedWork Health & Safety Officerto join our growing team.
This is an exciting chance to work on a high-profile construction site where you will play a key role in promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring legislative compliance, and supporting site operations.
This position is initially offered as a3-month fixed-term contract, with thepotential for extensionbased on project requirements and performance.

About the Role
Reporting to the Contract manager and Client, you will be part of a team responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of WHS across a busy construction environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting routine workplace inspections and safety audits.
Identifying hazards and implementing practical risk controls.
Delivering toolbox talks and promoting positive safety behaviours.




Monitoring contractor compliance with WHS legislation and site procedures.
Assisting with SWMS, risk assessments and safe work practices.
Ensuring compliance with the Work Health and Safety Act and associated Regulations.
Liaising with site management, contractors and stakeholders on all WHS matters.
About You
To be successful in this role you will possess:
Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (minimum qualification).
Current White Card.
Strong understanding of NSW Work Health and Safety legislation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of attention to detail.
Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team.
Current NSW Security Licence.
First Aid Certificate.
