We are seeking an experienced and motivatedCommercial Accountantto join our Finance team.
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this is an excellent opportunity for an accounting skilled who enjoys combining strong technical accounting skills with commercial analysis, business partnering, and continuous improvement.
This is a hands‐on role that will see you take ownership of the monthly reporting cycle, forecasting process, statutory compliance, payroll, inventory accounting, and year‐end financial reporting while working closely with stakeholders across the business.

About the Role
As our Commercial Accountant, you will play a critical role in delivering timely financial information and supporting key business decisions.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing the month‐end close process and preparing monthly management reports.
Preparing balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals and general ledger reconciliations.
Coordinating the company's forecasting and budgeting processes.
Preparing statutory lodgements including BAS, Payroll Tax, FBT, Workcover and other compliance reporting.
Coordinating the year‐end financial close and working with external accountants and auditors.
Processing payroll and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
Managing inventory accounting, reconciliations and supporting stocktake activities.
Business partnering to provide financial insights and commercial support.
Identifying opportunities to improve processes, reporting and internal controls.
Assisting with system improvements and process implementation projects.
Providing ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic business initiatives.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce or Finance.
CPA or CA qualification (or working towards completion).
Minimum 5 years' experience in a commercial accounting or management accounting role.
Strong financial reporting and month‐end close experience.
Excellent balance sheet reconciliation skills.
Experience preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
Knowledge of Australian statutory reporting requirements.
Payroll processing experience.
Experience with inventory accounting within a manufacturing, wholesale or distribution environment.
Strong ERP system experience.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
A proactive attitude with a continuous improvement mindset.
