A Queensland Government department is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a program of work delivering improvements to core information systems.
You will sit between the business and the technology function, working with stakeholders who understand their process but not necessarily what they need from a system.
The job is to close that gap — draw out the real requirement, test it against what is deliverable, and document it clearly enough that a solution can be built against it.
What you will be doing
Working with business stakeholders to articulate high-level needs across information systems and IT processes
Converting those needs into detailed business requirements specifications
Providing advice and recommendations on information systems capabilities and solution options
Identifying solution options that align with departmental and whole-of-Government enterprise architecture guidelines
Establishing and maintaining working relationships across team members, business stakeholders and delivery partners
Working with the team on communication activities so affected stakeholder groups have a clear and accurate understanding of the program and its impact on their work
Applying Workplace Health and Safety policies and practices as part of day-to-day operations
