Senior Dental Receptionist / Practice Manager
Permanent Part-Time – Up to $40 per hour + Superannuation
We are looking for an experienced
Senior Dental Receptionist / Practice Manager
to join our dental practice.
This is a
permanent part-time position
with the option of casual employment at a higher hourly rate while still offering
guaranteed hours per week
.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, a Small Team of 1-2 dentist a day and takes pride in delivering outstanding patient service, and can confidently manage the day-to-day operations of a busy dental front office.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in ensuring every patient receives a welcoming and professional experience.
This role is intended for experienced
Dental Receptionists and Dental Practice Managers
.
Not for applicants whose experience is primarily as a
Dental Assistant
,
Medical Receptionist
, or in another healthcare reception role
without significant dental front desk experience
.
However, if you are an experienced Dental Assistant
seeking a clinical assisting role, we would still be pleased to hear from you, as we may have opportunities available within our clinical team.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
Managing the front desk and providing a warm, professional welcome to all patients.
Answering phone calls and responding promptly to patient enquiries.
Scheduling appointments and maintaining an efficient appointment book.
Coordinating patient treatment plans and follow-up appointments.
Managing patient recalls and ensuring recall systems are maintained effectively.
Following up outstanding treatment plans and encouraging treatment acceptance.
Processing payments, health fund claims and billing.
Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring administrative compliance.
Developing and maintaining practice systems, policies and staff protocols.
Overseeing the day-to-day management and organisation of the practice.
Ensuring essential practice management requirements are maintained, including equipment servicing schedules, compliance records, certifications and other operational obligations.
Liaising with dentists, specialists, laboratories and the clinical team to ensure the practice operates efficiently.
Assisting with staff coordination, rostering and general practice administration as required.
Monitoring stock levels and coordinating ordering of clinical and office supplies.
Helping maintain a high standard of customer service, patient care and professionalism throughout the practice.
Identifying opportunities to improve practice efficiency and contribute to the ongoing success of the business.
To be considered for this position you must have:
A minimum of 5 years' experience working as a
Dental Receptionist or Dental Practice Manager.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Robust organisational and time management abilities.
Experience with dental practice management software.
