Civil Network Corp pty ltd We are seeking a motivated and highly organised Experienced Telstra & NBN Fibre technicians to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, testing and maintaining fibre optic telecommunications infrastructure across Telstra and NBN projects.
You will perform fibre splicing, network testing, fault diagnosis and commissioning activities between the exchange and customer network boundary, while ensuring compliance with Telstra, NBN and company technical standards. As part of our growing team, you will play a key role in delivering telecommunications infrastructure projects across New South Wales.
(Sydney & Newcastle) You will work closely with project managers, clients and field teams to support network upgrades, customer connections and maintenance activities, while contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality telecommunications solutions. Duties included are: Install, commission and maintain fibre optic and telecommunications network infrastructure across Telstra and NBN projects.
Perform fibre handling, cable hauling, splicing, termination, testing and fault diagnosis using OTDR, power meters and other telecommunications testing equipment. Conduct network fault finding, diagnostics and preventative maintenance to ensure reliable network performance. Interpret telecommunications network plans, design drawings and technical specifications to complete field installations.
Configure, commission and test fibre optic network components to ensure network performance and service quality.



Manage client sites and coordinate field activities to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and in compliance with client requirements. Prepare technical reports, test results, as-built documentation, installation records and upload project artefacts through client management systems.
Assist with telecommunications network upgrades, commissioning activities and customer network connections. Assist with minor civil works associated with the installation of telecommunications infrastructure, including conduit preparation, pit and pipe works, cable hauling and site set-up where required. Ensure all installations and maintenance activities comply with Telstra, NBN and company technical standards, quality requirements and safety procedures.
Skills and experience: Minimum one year of experience in fibre optic telecommunications, telecommunications network installation, or a related field. Qualification in Information Technology (Telecommunications Network Engineering) or a related discipline. Demonstrated experience in fibre handling, splicing, testing and fault diagnosis using telecommunications testing equipment (e.g. OTDR and power meters).
Strong knowledge of Telstra and NBN fibre optic networks,



installation standards and commissioning procedures. Experience interpreting telecommunications network plans, technical drawings and specifications. Knowledge of telecommunications civil infrastructure, including conduit, pit and pipe installations and cable hauling.
Experience operating plant and equipment, including excavators (desirable). Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve network faults. Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and client requirements.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Willingness to learn, adapt to current technologies and work across a variety of project environments. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
