We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cardiac Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced Cardiac and Coronary Care Unit team on a
permanent full-time basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high-acuity environment caring for patients undergoing complex cardiac and thoracic procedures.
Our unit consists of: 25 beds - 16 Cardiac beds & 9 Coronary Care beds.
We provide specialised care for patients recovering from:
Heart and lung surgery
Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
Structural Heart procedures
Pacemaker insertions and cardiac rhythm management procedures
Acute cardiac conditions requiring close monitoring and intervention
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, patient-centred nursing care in a fast-paced cardiac environment
Monitor and manage post-operative cardiac and thoracic surgery patients
Care for patients undergoing interventional cardiology and structural heart procedures
Perform cardiac monitoring and recognise/respond to patient deterioration
Collaborate closely with cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons and multidisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Support patients and families through recovery and education
You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care delivery in alignment with hospital policies.
About You:
You will be a trained nurse with exceptional customer service, confident communication, and strong interpersonal skills. You will also demonstrate:
Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
Minimum 12 months' experience working in an acute setting (Cardiac preferred)
Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
Highly organised with a proven ability to manage emergency situations
Demonstrates strong adaptability in dynamic situations
Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
Remuneration:
A competitive salary: A base hourly rate of
$***** - $*****
+ superannuation, exclusive of penalties and allowances (*NSW RN/Midwife Gr1-Gr8*)

Additional Information
