ADD VALUE - THE ROLE
The
Team Leader Road Patrol
playsa key role in maintaining the road network that keeps our community connected. Leading a small team, they combine hands-on expertise with people leadership to deliver essential infrastructure services safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include;
Direct the delivery of civil construction and maintenance works for self and offsider in accordance with approved plans and specifications, legislation, budget and resources.
Lead, support, performance manage and coach staff in undertaking the work and projects of the section.
Undertake labouring tasks, utilising plant and equipment where appropriate, to carry out road repairs and maintenance which includes but is not limited to, pothole patching, clearing drainage structures, line marking, controlling roadside vegetation,
maintenance of guardrail, installation of signage and guideposts and laying of pipe.
Essential to this role is a certificate III Civil Construction (Road Construction and Maintenance) and/or demonstrated contemporary experience undertaking labouring tasks and using minor plant and equipment for road maintenance and pavement work.
Demonstrated knowledge of electronic devices used to record maintenance activities in the field is required in this role.
This position is offered on a
Permanent, Full-time
basis working 76 hours per fortnight on a team-based 9-day fortnight. Remuneration package for this position is based on Grade 7 of Council's Salary System Protocol which equates to a base salary of
$70,505 - $79,308per annum
plus superannuation.
