We are seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join our team at Smart Engineering (QLD) Pty Ltd in Rocklea, Queensland.
As a Boilermaker, you will play a crucial role in our full‐time, hands‐on operations, utilising your expertise to fabricate, install, and maintain a variety of metal structures and equipment.
What you'll be doing
Read and interpret drawings, sketches, and specifications.
Use various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding, to join metal components with high accuracy and precision
Operate power tools and machinery, such as grinders, saws, and benders, to cut, shape, and form metal components
Perform repairs on existing metal structures and equipment
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and safe workflow
Maintain detailed records and documentation of all work performed
What we're looking for
Formal Boilermaking qualification or equivalent trade experience
Minimum 3-5 years of boilermaking experience required
Demonstrated proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding
Basic welding tickets required for all welding activities




Ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, and technical specifications
Experience operating power tools and machinery used in metal fabrication
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
A safety-focused mindset and the ability to work well in a team environment
