Lime Recruitment is currently working with a large Queensland government client to recruit an experiencedSenior Business Analyst.
In this key role, you will work closely with business units and senior leadership to understand operational needs, drive business change, and optimize processes, data, and systems.
Supporting key initiatives across the construction and maintenance sector, you will lead end-to-end business analysis, deliver fit-for-purpose solution strategies, and champion innovative, high-value outcomes.
Key responsibilities
Liaise with management and broader business teams to understand operational challenges, build solid contact networks, and provide expert advisory on business processes, data, and systems.
Lead business analysis activities by developing detailed process maps, procedural documentation, templates, and tools to support seamless solution implementations.
Leverage industry knowledge to influence technology adoption, challenge the status quo, and connect strategic ideas that drive continuous improvement.
Deliver clear,



concise communications to senior leadership and operational teams to ensure proposed business changes and expected benefits are understood.
Lead the creation and maintenance of key project artefacts in alignment with government project management frameworks, while enhancing internal BA templates and practices.
Mentor, supervise, and coach junior team members, acting as a trusted sounding board on business analysis and improvement activities.
About you
Proven experience engaging diverse stakeholders and market leaders to gather insights and address operational challenges within the construction and maintenance sector.
Deep hands-on experience applying structured BA methodologies to deliver recommendations across IT, business processes, systems, and data.
Demonstrated capability to evaluate emerging technologies and simple, innovative solutions to solve complex business problems.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a track record of presenting structured recommendations and findings to senior executives.
Highly self-directed with excellent judgment on when to take initiative and when to elevate risks.
