NHC Disability Services is seeking a passionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team in Campbelltown, NSW. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and participate fully in their communities.
What you'll be doing
Assisting clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming and other daily living activities
Providing support and companionship to clients, engaging them in social, recreational and community-based activities
Helping clients to develop and maintain essential life skills, such as budgeting, cooking and household management
Advocating for clients' rights and ensuring their needs are met in a respectful and person-centred manner
Maintaining accurate records and documentation to support clients' care plans and funding requirements
Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, including allied health professionals, to deliver coordinated and holistic support
What we're looking for
A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, providing support to individuals with disabilities or complex needs
A demonstrated understanding of person-centred approaches and the ability to tailor support to individual needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills,



with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on promoting client independence and wellbeing
A compassionate and patient nature, with a genuine commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others
A relevant qualification, such as a Certificate III or IV in Disability Services or a similar field, is highly desirable
