We are seeking skilled Utility Locators to accurately identify and map underground utilities and services for our diverse projects. This is a hands-on role requiring precision, safety awareness and the ability to operate specialised equipment in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will work closely with project teams to ensure safe and accurate utility locating, maintain detailed records and deliver high-quality service to clients.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately locate and map underground utilities (water, gas, electricity, telecoms) using specialised equipment
Apply AS-**** standards and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) consistently in the field
Interpret utility plans and cross-check underground asset locations
Maintain detailed records, QA reports and project documentation




Collaborate with construction teams to ensure safe excavation and protection of buried infrastructure
Communicate professionally with clients and coordinate with contractors on project requirements
Support team development by mentoring trainees and guiding secure, effective work practices
Contribute to continuous improvement, productivity, and compliance initiatives
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 12 months' experience as a Utility Locator or similar role
NULCA or equivalent course (RIICCM202D - Identify, Locate & Protect Underground Services)
Dial Before You Dig accreditation (current or in progress)
Proficient with utility locating equipment (radio detection, GPR, concrete scanners)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work independently or as part of a team
Ability to troubleshoot, make decisions under pressure, and maintain high work standards
Valid Driver's Licence and White Card
