Central Industries is seeking an experienced
Accounts and Bookkeeping Manager
to join our team on a
part-time basis
. Based in
Lithgow, NSW
, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to manage our accounting and bookkeeping operations whilst maintaining flexibility in your working arrangements. As Accounts and Bookkeeping Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial health and accuracy of our organisation, overseeing all day-to-day accounting functions.
Key responsibilities
Manage and oversee bookkeeping and accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
Prepare and maintain financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
Process invoices, receipts, and expense documentation in a timely and organised manner
Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with superannuation and taxation obligations
Liaise with external accountants and auditors to facilitate financial audits and tax compliance
Maintain accurate and organised financial documentation and records
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
What we're looking for
Proven experience in bookkeeping and accounts management, ideally within a small to medium-sized business environment
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices and standards relevant to Australian businesses
Proficiency with accounting software packages such as Xero or similar platforms
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Solid understanding of Australian taxation, superannuation legislation and payroll requirements




Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy
Ability to organise and prioritise multiple tasks effectively
Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise professionally with internal and external stakeholders
Relevant accounting or bookkeeping qualifications or certification (such as CPA, IPA or similar bodies) or equivalent practical experience will be highly regarded
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
