Renowned for delivering exceptional medical care, Kedron Wavell Medical Centre currently presents a unique opening for a dedicated individual to become a valued member of our practice nursing team as a Full Time Registered Nurse.
This specialised role demands a candidate with devotion to upholding the highest standards of nursing support for both patients and our medical professionals.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Assisting with minor surgical procedures
Administering vaccinations and immunisations to paediatric and adult patients
Health Assessments
Chronic Condition Management Plans (Care Plans)
Chronic disease management and providing patient education
Processing recalls and reminders for patients
Completing pre-employment medicals and assisting with other occupational health services
Performing ECGs, Spirometry, and Audiometry and other diagnostic tests
Cold Chain Management and ordering of vaccines
Coordinating patient care as required through the DVA CVC Program




Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and prioritise
Proactive with excellent attention to detail
Computer literate and quick to learn new programs
Flexibility to work occasional evening shifts and rare Saturday mornings as needed
Passionate about providing high-quality care
Experience in a general practice
Knowledge of MBS item numbers
Experience using Best Practice or similar software
DVA Coordinated Veteran Care Program knowledge
Skilled in motivational interviewing
Hours and Availability
38 hours per week over 4-5 days
Primarily weekday shifts with rare Saturday mornings
Remuneration
Remuneration will be based on experience and in alignment with the Nurses Award.
