As the Safety & Compliance Manager
You will help manage a safe and compliant workplace across multi locations in Australia, with both employees in the office and on the road Technicians.
In this dynamic role, you will be empowered to drive collaboration across departments, ensuring that HSEQ objectives are seamlessly integrated into all operational processes. Your leadership will be instrumental in inspiring a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, enabling the organisation to adapt swiftly to new challenges and regulatory changes. As you support both office-based staff and field technicians, you will cultivate best practices in risk management and quality assurance, positioning the company as a benchmark for safety and excellence within the industry.
Your role will also involve staying abreast of emerging industry trends and regulatory developments, ensuring that our policies and practices evolve to meet the highest standards. By leveraging data-driven insights and fostering a proactive safety culture, you will drive innovation and efficiency throughout the organisation.

You will report to the HR Manager, and currently have a Safety Coordinator to support administrative tasks.
You will visibly promote safety on site, and partner with managers and employees to identify, control, and reduce risk. Working closely with all levels of leadership, you will coordinate activities related to Quality Management, WHS, and Environment across the business.
Your responsibilities will involve
Manage, review, and maintain Workplace Risk Assessments, Safe Work Method Statements and Safe Work Instructions.
Develop, implement and maintain a monitoring and assurance framework that encapsulates HSEQ Audits, EHS Inspections and Task Observations to ensure compliance with EHSQ Framework.
Conduct workplace inspections/audits and observe work practices to identify safety or environmental hazards and opportunities for improvement.
Lead risk assessments in partnership with managers and team leaders
Lead/coach our leaders in the investigation of safety incidents or injuries. Consult with managers, team leaders, and workers to determine root cause, identify hazards, recommend preventative and corrective control measures and development of Lessons Learned
Lead/coach our leaders in the Return to Work Coordination and Workplace rehabilitation relating to any workplace injuries, and support return-to-work activities
Provide Senior Management regular updates on WHS Legislative changes and ensure that the HSEQ Management System remains up to date with the legislative changes
Maintain WHS records, track WHS actions to closure and verify effectiveness. Escalate overdue or high-risk items to the General Manager.
Coordinate and support day-to-day activities of the ISO**** Quality Management System
Develop, implement, and maintain quality documentation (procedures, instructions, forms & checklists).
Conduct investigations or root cause analysis on quality defects or customer complaints
Requirements
Minimum 8 to 10 years' HSEQ management experience that includes managing and leading a health safety and quality team
Certificate IV (or higher) in
Work Health and Safety
5+ years' hands on experience
in a WHS or Quality role, ideally working in an externally audited WHS/Quality management system
Ability to raise standards and drive transformational change
Manage all internal audits
Experienced incident investigator
Ability to build relationships, strong attention to detail, high integrity, and ability to communicate with wide ranging stakeholders in a fast-paced changing setting
