Position: Maintenance Supervisor
About the Role
We have two positions available for motivated Maintenance Supervisors to take ownership of maintenance operations at our Stapylton, and Ipswich sites.
In these roles, you will play a critical part in keeping our operations running safely and efficiently, leading a dedicated team to drive safety, reliability, and performance across a busy, high-volume recycling facility. You will oversee the maintenance of plant and equipment, minimise downtime, and champion continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, supervise, and support a team of maintenance technicians
Allocate daily tasks and monitor progress to ensure efficiency and quality outcomes
Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback
Maintenance & Operations
Complete breakdown maintenance during operations as required
Oversee planned and reactive maintenance activities
Troubleshoot complex equipment and plant issues
Ensure plant, equipment and facilities are maintained to a high standard
Drive preventative maintenance strategies to reduce downtime
Safety & Compliance
Promote and enforce a strong safety culture aligned with WHS standards
Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits
Planning, Budget & Resources
Manage maintenance budgets and cost control
Coordinate procurement of parts, materials, and external services
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve plant reliability and performance
Work closely with operations to meet production targets
Coordinate contractors and specialist service providers
Reporting & Communication
Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and reports
Track performance metrics, costs, and equipment reliability
Act as the key link between maintenance teams and senior management
About You
You are a proactive, hands-on leader with robust technical knowledge and a commitment to safety and quality.
Qualifications and Experience
Relevant trade qualification (required)
Demonstrated experience in a maintenance or supervisory role (industrial/heavy workplace preferred)
Solid understanding of WHS and environmental practices
Current driver's licence and White/Blue Card
Knowledge of Australian Standards
Basic to intermediate computer skills
